A new survey by the Public Religion Research Institute indicates Americans of various faiths are anxious about Islam, and also racial tensions. According to the poll, a majority of Americans—56 percent—believe the values of Islam are at odds with American values. And the number of Americans who say racial tensions are a major concern in their community has more than doubled since 2012 to 35 percent now. The survey was conducted before the Paris attacks.
