Thousands of Refugees Rescued from Boats Off Coast of LibyaSearch and rescue teams have rescued nearly 10,000 migrants and refugees off the Libyan coast this week. The migrants, most of whom were believed to be African, traveled in rubber dinghies, small wooden boats, and large vessels. Migrants were taken to various cities. Hundreds of them were taken to the Sicilian port of Pozzallo, Italy and received medical treatment.
