Islamic State militants have claimed responsibility for the shocking attack this week on a museum in Tunisia’s capital that killed 23 people and wounded dozens more. Most of the victims were foreign tourists. Two gunmen were shot and killed, and Tunisian officials have arrested at least nine others who they say are connected to the attack. Tunisia successfully held its first democratic elections last year, but the largely Muslim country has seen an uptick in extremism in recent months.
