Methodist Minister Who Performed Son’s Gay Wedding Faces Church Trial

Another United Methodist pastor will face a church trial for officiating at a same-sex wedding. Reverend Thomas Ogletree, who is the retired dean of the Yale Divinity School, will be tried on March 10 for violating church law by presiding at his son’s wedding to another man. In December, Pennsylvania Pastor Frank Schaefer was defrocked after he officiated at his son’s gay wedding.
