US Department of Education Asks Schools to Prevent Anti-Muslim Discrimination

ED-Dept-1919-600In response to the anti-Muslim and anti-refugee sentiments that seem to be on the rise, the US Education Department is urging the nation’s schools to take steps to guard against harassment and discrimination. In an open letter to school leaders, the department said schools should be on the lookout for bullying, especially against students of color and those who appear to be Muslim or Arab.
