The Vatican hosted its third conference on stem cell research this week. The Catholic Church objects to the use of embryos for stem cell research but supports the use of adult stem cells. Vice President Joe Biden was among the political leaders on hand. Both he and Pope Francis pushed for international cooperation in the fight against cancer.
