International Group of Mayors Gather for Vatican Climate Change Conference

At the Vatican, some 60 mayors from around the world gathered for a two-day conference on reducing global warming and protecting the poor from climate change. They signed a declaration urging world leaders to approve a “bold climate agreement” at a Paris summit on climate change in December. The Vatican conference came almost a month after the release of Pope Francis’s encyclical on the environment.
