Worldwide Momentum on Nigerian Girls Kidnappings

NigeriaDaughtersProtest-HEAD-smInternational support continues to grow for nearly 300 school girls kidnapped by Islamist militants in Nigeria. Here in the U.S., the “Bring Back Our Girls” campaign gained momentum. Activists held several protests, including one at the Nigerian Embassy in Washington. They called on the Nigerian government to do more to rescue the girls, and they urged more U.S. help. American Muslim groups called for the girls’ immediate release, saying the kidnappers had violated core Islamic teachings.
