1. Ancient Egyptian Brewery Found in Tel Aviv
Archaeological excavations at a construction site in the White City found potsherds used for producing beer 5,000 years ago. Located in the heart of Tel Aviv, the site is northernmost Egyptian settlement in the Early Bronze Age. Read more at The Times of Israel.

2. Rare Medieval Artifact at the Museum of London Archaeology
A rare medieval devotional panel depicting a political rebel turned martyr is on display at the museum through September 28, 2015. It was found by archaeologists by the River Thames. Read more at Discover Britain.

3. Ancient Egyptian Statue to Remain in the UK
The UK Culture Ministry announced that the 4,000-year-old Egyptian statue Sekhemka will not leave the United Kingdom. Northampton Borough Council sold the statue last year for £15.76m to an overseas buyer believed to be from Middle East. A temporary export ban has been placed on the statue since it reportedly was a gift to the Council in 1880. Read more at Ahram Online.

4. Medieval Cemetery Found Under Cambridge University
Archaeologists have discovered a lost medieval cemetery under Cambridge University with graves that had been pre-dug in anticipation of winter deaths. The mass cemetery contained about 1,300 burials, including about 400 complete skeletons. Read more at The Telegraph.

5. Intact Horse Skeleton Found at Roman Site
A 2,000-year-old skeleton of a Roman horse was discovered at the Biomedical Campus in the city of Cambridge in the UK. Archaeologists said finding the almost complete skeleton was “unusual.” Read more at Cambridge News.
