2. Ancient game found in Roman Era City in Turkey
Two game pieces, known as “Ludus duodecim scriptorium” or “XII scripta,” from 1,800 years ago have been found in the ancient city of Kibyra, in the southern Turkish province of Burdur’s Gölhisar district. 3. Object Used as Door Stop Identified as Rare 3,500-year-old Ceremonial Dagger
A landowner in East Rudham, Norfolk first dug up the artifact more than a decade ago, however not knowing its significance, he used the relic as a door stop. Archaeologists identified it as an extremely rare and valuable Bronze Age ceremonial dagger, known as a dirk, one of only six found in the whole of Europe. Read more at Ancient Origins.

4. Three Statue Heads Unearthed in Cambodia
Three Angkorian-era statue heads, from the end of the 12th-century reign of Jayavarman VII, were found under more than half a meter of soil last week at Banteay Chhmar temple in Banteay Meanchey province. Read more at The Phnom Penh Post.

5. People Ate Mammoth?
Examining the human and animal fossil bones from the prehistoric site called Předmostí, located near Brno in the Czech Republic, researchers have found that mammoth was a key component of prehistoric life in Europe 30,000 years ago. They also found that other carnivores, such as brown bears, wolves and wolverines, also had access to mammoth meat. Read more at Science Daily.
