Ayana Omilade Flewellen

A Miami native with deep roots in Texas, Dr. Flewellen developed an interest in history and artifacts at a young age. Her educational background at the University of Florida and the University of Texas at Austin led her to develop a passion and drive to explore and expand on the histories she saw herself reflected in.

Jen McKinnon

With a background in maritime archaeology, Dr. McKinnon has worked in the U.S., Australia, Pacific islands and Europe on sites ranging from the Spanish Colonial era to World War II.

Annalisa Heppner 

Annalisa Heppner received her master’s degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage and has been an archaeologist for more than a decade. She has spent time studying Indigenous communities on the Arctic Coast of Alaska and is currently serving as Project Manager of the Circumpolar Laboratory Inventory Project at the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology at Brown University.

Andrea Achi 

In a special collaboration with Inside The Met, meet Dr. Andrea Achi, Assistant Curator at New York’s famous Metropolitan Museum of Art. Dr. Achi specializes in the art and archaeology of Late Antiquity and has a particular interest in manuscripts and archaeological objects from Christian Egypt.
