The region is comprised of 20 countries. Below are the three measurable goals of the Education for All initiative and the countries that have met them:

Universal Primary Education: Algeria, Libya, and Tunisia.

Adult Literacy: None.

Gender Parity: Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Palestinian A.T., and United Arab Emirates.

Four nations have a high chance of achieving all three goals, while five are at risk of not reaching any of them by 2015.
