The region is comprised of nine countries. Below are the three measurable goals of the Education for All initiative and the countries that have met them:

Universal Primary Education: Kazakhstan.

Adult Literacy: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

Gender Parity: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

All nations have a high chance of achieving the three goals by 2015.
