World Links: Swiss Banks Ease Secrecy Laws; Suspected U.S. Drone Hits Taliban Training Camp

A suspected U.S. drone targets a militant training center run by the Taliban in the Central Kurram tribal region of northwestern Pakistan killing 24 people.

Switzerland, Austria and Luxembourg  ease banking secrecy laws to avoid being added to a global black list of uncooperative tax havens, which is being prepared for the G-20 summit in London in April. Previously, that global black list has included Andorra, Lichtenstein, and Monaco.

Chinese premier, Wen Jiabao, says that he is “a little bit worried” about the security of China’s $1 trillion investment in U.S. debt.
