The ICRC is a neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect and assist victims of war and internal violence. - United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East
Initially planned as a temporary organization in 1949, the UNRWA has gradually adjusted its programs to meet the changing needs of the Palestinian refugees. Today, the Agency is the main provider of basic services – education, health, relief and social services – to over 4.4 million registered Palestine refugees in the Middle East.
