The region is comprised of 45 countries. Below are the three measurable goals of the Education for All initiative and the countries that have met them:

Universal Primary Education: Rwanda and Seychelles.

Adult Literacy: None.

Gender Parity: Botswana, Gabon, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, U.R. Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.

Six nations have a high chance of achieving all three goals, while 20 are at risk of not reaching any of them by 2015.
