Dr. Steve K. Windels has been the Wildlife Biologist at Voyageurs National Park (MN) since 2003, giving him tenure over nearly 1/3 of the park’s 45-year existence (and making him feel very old)! In addition to co-leading the Voyageurs Wolf Project, he also directs research and monitoring on a variety of key wildlife species in Voyageurs, including American beavers, muskrats, moose, bald eagles, and common loons.
