Ant Picnic | Nature Nation

Each week, we feature a worthy citizen science project or nature news segment from around the world. This week’s is the family and food friendly, Ant Picnic.

Ant Picnic

According to the website, “What ants eat at different times of the year and in different places around the world tells us what might be missing in their environment and how climate change could impact ant populations.” Our diets, as humans, are well-documented, but what can we learn about the availability and preference of food types in ants? Create a picnic (you can eat, too!) and start researching! More information for teachers and parents HERE.
