For Teachers:
Living Alongside Humans | Primates: Episode 1 “Secrets of Survival”(Grades 4-12)
Humans are primates, and we live alongside other primates in a variety of settings around the globe. Sometimes these relationships are in conflict while other times they are synchronous. Watch how humans and primates interact with one another when they live in the same place.
Primate Locomotion | Primates: Episode 2 “Family Matters” (Grades 5-12)
Non-human primates are diverse and have many adaptations that help them to survive in different environments. One of these adaptations is movement. All animals are adapted to move in particular ways that help them to get food, reproduce and avoid danger. Many primates spend their life in trees and are especially adapted to move with ease amongst the branches. Other primates, including humans, have different adaptations for life on the ground.

Students will explore designs used to make bridges for primates whose natural habitat has been split by busy highways with this video from Primates: Episode 3 “Protecting Primates.” Support materials include discussion questions and a primate bridge design challenge.
