Each week, we feature a worthy citizen science project or nature news segment from around the nation. This week’s is HerpMapper.
Herpetology is the study of reptiles and amphibians. HerpMapper is a non-profit organization dedicated to studying, mapping and analyzing these species of animals, including frogs, snakes, lizards, turtles and more, around the globe. According to the organization, observations you gather and share are used for “research, conservation, and preservation purposes. Your observations can make valuable contributions on the behalf of amphibians and reptiles.”
You can start submitting your observations here.
