Nature Reads Round Up

SHARE

As usual, there’s plenty happening in the natural world right now. We’ve rounded up our favorite links for your reading and listening pleasure…

We’re excited to share that a former host of several of our NATURE documentaries, Chris Morgan, just launched a new podcast called The Wild. Listen along and join him on his adventures into the wilderness.

We’ve been focusing quite a bit on monarch butterflies and how to help them thrive this spring on NATURE Now. As such, we were interested to read this article on how butterflies – a traditional symbol of rebirth – have been disappearing more and more.

Keep tabs on the latest in the plight of the sage grouse and learn more about this unique bird in our full documentary The Sagebrush Sea, streaming now.

As the weather warms up, you may want to take a cue from termites on the best ways to keep your home cool.

And finally, just for fun (and because it’s spring) get a glimpse of the first baby wallaby to be born at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in three decades!
