Each week, we feature a worthy citizen science project or nature news segment from around the world. This week we’re brrrrrringing you Penguin Watch.
The goal of Penguin Watch is to learn more about the threats facing penguin populations, limit them, and then inform policy whenever possible. According to their website, they do this by uploading a stream of images from their remote cameras and “count[ing] penguins in remote regions to help us understand their lives and environment… Your counts help us to understand penguin population changes, and changes in their survival rates and timing of breeding.” Learn more HERE.
