Ten million red-billed quelea rest at the waterhole during their migration. These small birds are prey for larger birds, including steppe eagles. One quelea escapes the jaws of a terrapin only to be spotted by an eagle and must hide in a log before attempting to escape.

- [Narrator] A steppe eagle isn't quick enough to catch quelea, (wings flapping) but he is quick to spot an opportunity.
The terrapin has a quelea by the legs, but he's about to find out he's bitten off more than he can chew.
(wings flapping) The odds of the quelea being caught were probably one in 10,000, The odds of it escaping twice were closer to one in 10 million.
But sometimes, that's all you need.
