These two pigs were rescued as tiny little infants from a ditch near our ranch. Their mama had been shot… she had 13 babies and these two were the only survivors. We brought them to our horse sanctuary (Proud Spirit) where we bottle feed them till they were old enough to eat on their own. We fenced off a few acres where they can romp and root and live in peace. Their two-room shelter, in this photo, is full of comfy, fluffy hay and it’s where they sleep and/or get out of the weather. Along with their regular meals and various treats, they each get an apple every single morning and night. Their names are Mimi and Nina.
