This Elephant Seal beached to moult for 28 days on the West Vancouver beach at Ambleside Beach. It was protected from humans & dogs with an orange fence and over the 28 days lost it’s top coat of fur. The smell was quite foul for the last week.
It made the beach it’s home for the entire time; not eating or going back into the water.
